In-Place Editing

Change a part, compound part, or component properties inside the Family/Part Editor dialog (right panel) by selecting the available controls. For instance, in the general part definition properties list, you can edit the default color for a part definition.

The in-place editing feature accesses the same controls available in the various versions of the Properties dialog (selected part, compound part, component right click menu > Properties) inside the Family/Part Editor dialog.

Note: The Properties dialog can be opened (right click menu) to change properties, but is not required. However, it is required when creating new definitions.

Editing multiple dataset items in-place

You can change common properties within selections of multiple dataset items. For instance, apply one line weight for "Section Weight" for these multiple parts.
